The Director is responsible for the overall leadership of the Group Home treatment program including ensuring comprehensive treatment services for youth placements and delivery of services are consistent with Agency mission, vision and values. The Director is also responsible for implementing programs which provide the best outcomes for youth and families.



Description

Job Responsibilities

* Responsible for overall supervision of direct reports including coordinating and/or conducting staff training and development, hiring and selection of direct reports, performance evaluation, directing and assigning work, approving time cards and time off requests, and making recommendations for other personnel actions including hiring, firing, promotion and demotions.

* Ensures and monitors the delivery of consistent and comprehensive sets of services are provided to youth and families at frequencies consistent with treatment goals, state mandates, and Agency policy.



  • Responsible for managing and reducing risk in area(s) of responsibility and to report it if it is outside of area(s) of responsibility or seeking assistance when needed to resolve the matter.
  • Assures health and safety risks are controlled or removed, and a safe and therapeutic environment exists.
  • Responsible for overseeing the Group Home Programs including the coordination of all youth programming.
  • Responsible for process and program improvement and/or development by utilizing data driven output and/or information.
  • Systematically monitors results against expectations and implements/recommends a corrective action plan where necessary including developing systems for tracking reports and other matters.
  • Recommends and implements new programming or processes as identified.
  • Assists in development and administration of program budget. Ensure programs and services meet/exceed utilization targets and expenses do not exceed budgetary limits.
  • Participates and initiates program development marketing efforts. Represents the Group Home and/or Agency in marketing efforts as needed and/or assigned. Also serves as the liaison with community programs.
  • Adheres to agency policies and procedures; promotes and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements



  • Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Education or related field preferred.

    • Bachelor's Degree required psychology, Social Work, Education or related field.


  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with children and families in a, Group Home, Child welfare and/or residential setting required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of supervisory/management experience required.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills required including keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including ability to listen, act as a role model, and build therapeutic relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess situations and resolve multiple conflicts simultaneously.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with extreme discretion, demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
  • Demonstrated organizational, time management and prioritization skills required.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment in a fast-paced culture; must be able to adapt to a changing environment.
  • TCI/First Aid/CPR certification required.
  • Must have a current and valid driver's license with acceptable driving history to the Agency.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night and weekend hours as necessary.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills including MS Office suite and other database programs.
  • Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population.
