ETC Site Technician

Computer Services Electronic Equipment Repair-Light Maintenance-Grounds Issues.

1. Assist with initial assessment/troubleshooting of IT, mechanical, electrical and general maintenance within Lake Land College Effingham facilities. Repair/replace computer equipment and provide local IT equipment support.
2. Operation and programming of Building automation systems.
3. As the on-site technician, assist in supporting tenant relationships by providing assistance in leading to resolution of issues/problems that have been brought to the College's attention.
4. Preparation and maintenance of Networking: fiber-optic, wired and wireless communication equipment, wiring, termination, splicing and setup.
5. As the on-site technician, assist and provide initial support related to outside contractors involved in internal and external work such as maintenance/repair, grounds, snow removal and trash. Engage Physical Plant Management as needed.
6. Support and facilitate daily site preparation related to facility setups, teardowns, and the opening/closing building/rooms.
7. Light Maintenance including: H.V.A.C, Bulbs, ballasts, Emergency Lighting.
8. Primary Work Location: Effingham Technology Center and Kluthe Center for Higher Education and Technology as needed.
Secondary Location: LLC Campus, as designated by the supervisor.
9.Other related duties as assigned

Education Requirements:

• Technical training or degree in technology or related fields.

• Electronic and computer repair in industrial or education setting.

• General knowledge of complete building functions and services. Blueprint reading.

• Trouble shooting and repair skills for industrial and electronic building equipment.
• Customer relationship and strong written/verbal communication skills.

• Interpersonal skills, team oriented, ability and willingness to take and follow orders. Self-motivated.
