Note- This is an ON-SITE role.

We are seeking a R&D Lab Manager who would be responsible coordinate lab operations. (Lab power, space, cooling, networking). Must be responsible for maintaining and enforcing all lab policies and procedures.

  • Must have experience in configuration, designing, installation, maintenance, and handling R&D laboratory equipment and laboratory networks for the use of delivery teams.
  • Procures, (budgets,) and integrates new products and solutions in the services laboratory.
  • Ensures availability of laboratory equipment and maintains physical and environmental standards.
  • Supports the integration, verification, testing, and modification of SW / HW / system components.
  • Central Point of Contact / Overall Responsibility / Coordinates all lab operations
    • Knowledge of Product Development Cycles, and experience supporting R&D activities.
    • Experience with project management.
    • Experience with meeting setup and steering
  • Lab Policies / Procedures
    • Experience with document creation and maintenance.
  • Communications
    • Working knowledge/experience with Office 365 apps - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
    • SharePoint site creation, maintenance.
    • Power App design to create integrated Forms and queue management table.
  • Power / Space / Cooling
    • Working knowledge of Visio to create/update floor plans and network diagrams.
    • Experience with basic power related trouble shooting - loads, breaker resets.
    • Working knowledge of AC: voltage, outlet types, power ratings, and distribution.
    • Working knowledge of DC: rectifier limitations, monitoring, and management, power cabling.
    • Experience with PRTG setup and monitoring.
    • Experience with TrippLite PDU installation, setup, and monitoring.
  • Network
    • Comp TIA Network, CCNA certifications highly desired, but not required.
    • Experience with IP Subnet Design and implementation
    • Experience with switch/router configuration.
    • Experience with basic network troubleshooting.
    • Working knowledge of fiber types and installation Equipment Rack and Stack
    • Experience with installation and configuration of chassis , switches, PDU, terminal server.
    • Experience with Viavi, and Spirent testset bringup and software upgrades.
  • Thermal Chambers
  • Working knowledge of Thermatron and Espec thermal chambers: troubleshoot connectivity and temperature regulation, coordinate service
  • Staffing
    • Experience building team - defining requirements, evaluating resumes, interview process.
    • Experience managing team - training, motivation, task assignment, productivity tracking
  • Purchasing
    • Vendor sourcing, account reconciliation
  • Audits
  • Working knowledge of ESD principles and equipment protection.
  • Working knowledge of equipment calibration procedures.
  • Experience implementing lab safety program and working with EHS to meet company safety guidelines and requirements.
  • Experience preparing for and undergoing TL9K audit.
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Proficient in SharePoint, Excel, and PPtx.
  • Able to multitask and has good organizational skills
  • Basic understanding of networking (setting up terminal servers and configuring IP subnets)
  • Knowledge & Experience in managing and maintaining R&D labs.
