THE ROLE Our site in Aurora, IL is seeking a/an Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
The Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op will serve as a manufacturing engineer for the slurry business unit (BU), contributing to various processes within our group. They will collaborate very closely with our engineers and assist with crucial projects in the mixing, blending, and filling room processes. The intern's primary responsibility will involve supporting the continuous improvement (CI) projects and improvement of these processes, conducting research, analyzing data, and assisting with implementing new technologies.
What You'll Do
- Aid in producing results that are consistent with overall site needs and meet customer demands.
- Assist Process Engineers in creating and updating critical documentation such as Response Flow Checklists, Batch Cards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and other process-related documents.
- Identify and manage risks that can disrupt business operations and affect reliability, driving improvements to asset utilization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Eligibility
- Must be a currently enrolled student
- Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through June.
- Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: On site required; includes standing/sitting, walking through production plant. Additionally, adherence to wearing PPE (hard hat, glasses, safety shoes) as needed
