Genesis10 is currently seeking a Network / System Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Work with an application development team, infrastructure operations and engineering team to develop monitoring solutions that will mimic end-user experience and synthetic transactions Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) or similar, including experience 3+ years Development or Architecture experience for multi-tiered business applications 2+ years production systems engineering and/or support role Proven experience with Splunk and Dynatrace implementation, design/build of dashboards and alerting Knowledge of OS (Windows/Unix) based infrastructure services, processing, monitoring, shell scripts, etc. Proven experience in application/network performance and availability monitoring Excellent communication skills Self-motivated, hands-on, driven individual A strategic thinker who can link business context to technical reality Able to work in a fast paced environment whilst meeting deadlines Knowledge of how different components in an application work together, interaction with the middleware, system software and hardware Understanding of how the clients are using the systems to benchmark key performance indicators, document use cases, create test and implementation plans Diverse engineering skills to architect and implement monitoring solutions Desired skills: Automation skills to reduce manual activities Proven team player who can work comfortably in a multicultural environment Proven ability to work independently, multi-task and effectively work in a complex environment with a global team structure Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong influencer, facilitator, and collaborator Detail oriented and organized Proactive, enthusiastic, flexible, results driven with attention to detail Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Motivation to achieve results and the ability to quickly integrate into teams Ability to work in an ambiguous environment and draw and defend results and conclusions Ability to work in a dynamic and team-oriented environment Ability to balance a significant workload, prioritize and multitask Experience with SiteScope, Catchpoint, and AppDynamics Pay range: $58.31 - $66.31 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
