Customer Service & Warehouse Representative

Location: Tempe, AZ (On-Site)

Job Summary

We are seeking a bilingual professional who enjoys working with people and is equally comfortable supporting warehouse operations. This hybrid role combines customer-facing responsibilities (60%) with warehouse functions (40%). Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, eager to learn, and adaptable. An interest in industrial tools or metalworking is helpful, but not required.

Your time will be split between assisting customers-answering questions, processing quotes and orders, handling returns-and supporting daily warehouse operations such as receiving shipments, putting away stock, preparing orders for shipping, and participating in cycle counts to keep inventory accurate.


Customer Service Responsibilities (60%)


  • Provide courteous, professional assistance to customers via phone, email, and online.



  • Accurately process quotes, orders, and returns in our ERP system (Epicor Prophet 21).



  • Expedite service requests with urgency and accuracy to meet customer expectations.



  • Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.



  • Support sales and product teams with accurate pricing, delivery information, and product details.



  • Engage in ongoing training to expand knowledge of Stellar's products and services.




Warehouse Responsibilities (40%)


  • Receive incoming shipments, check against purchase orders, and report discrepancies.



  • Put away stock accurately and efficiently, maintaining organized inventory locations.



  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.



  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.



  • Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, orderly warehouse environment.




Qualifications
Required Knowledge and Skills


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Outlook and Excel.



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.



  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.



  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect positively with customers and colleagues.



  • Experience with ERP systems such as Prophet 21 is preferred but not required.



  • Comfortable working in a sales-driven, service-focused environment.



  • Desire to continually learn and improve.



  • Strong attention to detail and follow-up.



  • Ability to work on-site at our Tempe, AZ branch.




Experience


  • 2-3 years of relevant customer service or warehouse experience.



  • Prior experience in customer service, inside sales, or related fields is a plus but not required.



  • Preference may be given to candidates with knowledge of carbide insert tooling, abrasives, machine shop processes, machinery, or machine tool components.




Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.




Physical Demands


  • Moderate physical effort including frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive tasks.



  • Frequent handling of light objects and occasional handling of heavier items as required in warehouse operations.




Hazards


  • Marginal to moderate hazards that are typically predictable and well protected against (e.g., warehouse equipment, packaging materials).
