A Brief Overview

We're seeking a passionate and people-focused Revenue Cycle Trainer to join our Business Services Training Team. In this role, you'll support the ongoing growth and development of Patient Financial Services staff by assessing training needs, delivering both virtual and in-person sessions, and administering quality audits and performance tools. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring competency across the organization and supporting enterprise-wide learning initiatives.

You'll collaborate closely with enterprise leadership to align training with strategic goals, and you'll use quality data-primarily from EPIC and other sources-to identify process improvements and learning opportunities. The ideal candidate is not only skilled in data analysis but also a trusted advisor who builds strong relationships and brings a consultative approach to training.

Schedule & Flexibility:
This is a day-shift position, with start times between 7:00 and 9:00 AM. A consistent schedule is expected, though flexibility is important as training may be delivered both virtually and onsite. What you will do

  • Assists leadership with training of new employees in specific department procedures
  • Proactively identifies improvement and learning opportunities.
  • Works closely with leadership to identify areas of deficiency and work with leadership to develop training support to improve competency and process efficiencies.
  • Performs weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly quality audit review for all PFS staff members and trends performance for identification of training needs.
  • Meets routinely with management to review processes, recommends enhancements and coaching areas for staff as outlined in the Staff Performance Policy.
  • Develops individualized training programs for employees that repeatedly fall below departmental standards.

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred

Experience Qualifications

  • At least five (5) years of healthcare finance, insurance reimbursement, patient financial services, or revenue cycle experience - Required and
  • At least three (3) years of training and/or quality auditing related experience - Required
  • Hospital / Professional Business Office experience, Trainer and/or Quality Auditor for Professional and hospital account receivables - Preferred

  • Business Office Operations; i.e., Billing, Collections, Cash Posting, Credit Resolution
  • Hospital and Professional Claims
  • Computer skills
  • Microsoft Word / Excel
  • Training
  • Have excellent attention to detail and project management skills
  • EPIC

Licenses and Certifications

  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) - Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) - within 6 months - Required or
  • Certified Patient Financial Services Specialist - Hospital Business Institute - within 6 months - Required

$67,500.00 - $86,060.00 Annually

Salary ranges are shown for full-time jobs. If you're working part-time, your pay will be adjusted accordingly.
