Overview

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The recruiter is responsible for managing the full life cycle of recruiting activities including: recruiting, researching, interviewing, screening, referral of job candidates, and effective onboarding for job openings; working closely with the human resources department and other departments throughout the organization providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve the organization goals and objectives and by performing the following duties.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

    Working from business workforce plans, develops a strategy for staffing the business
  • Partners with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills; Initiates requisition approval process
  • Reviews job descriptions with hiring manager during requisition process
  • Places job advertising in various media
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position
  • Initiates contact with qualified candidates for specific job openings
  • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization
  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify, source and pipeline qualified candidates
  • Maintains database of candidates in the ATS keeping statuses updated at all times
  • Generates offer letters in coordination with hiring manager
  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, NC works, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants
  • Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities. Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at career fairs
  • Initiates background screening with the vendor and closely monitors backgrounds for completion
  • Launches electronic onboarding to new hire prior to first day
  • Maintains adequate orientation materials
  • Schedules and conducts new hire orientations for hourly and salary employees
  • Maintains badging system for all NC employees
  • Enters all temps into timekeeping and works closely with the temp agency and manager to ensure proper access


Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of recruiting experience
  • Effectively communicate verbally as well as through writing skills; able to communicate with management at all levels of organization
  • Ability to operate under pressure and provide timely responses to requests
  • Able to deliver effective results; meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Exhibits strictest confidentiality and HR professionalism
  • Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Travel 5-10%
  • Comfortable speaking in front of groups

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Ability to work in front of a laptop or PC workstation for extended periods of time
  • Able to tour manufacturing facilities with appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
