Sr. Manager, Learning & Talent Development

Location Requirement: This role is required to be within a commutable distance of our NYC offices and be in the office as needed for training and facilitation purposes. On a day to day basis, the candidate will be able to choose their work preference.

The Role:

As the Sr. Manager of Learning & Talent Development, you will oversee the strategy, design, and implementation of programs that enhance employee learning, leadership, and organizational effectiveness. This role is equally focused on Learning & Development and Talent Management, ensuring a seamless and integrated approach to capability building, engagement, performance, and succession. You will be a key member of the HR Leadership Team, partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to align global talent strategies with business priorities and help shape a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce. This role reports directly to our EVP, Chief People Officer.

Responsibilities:

Learning & Development (50%)

  • Assess company-wide learning needs through data analysis, surveys, and engagement with business leaders.

  • Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training solutions across leadership, manager development, technical skills, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.

  • Identify and leverage AI-powered learning tools to create personalized learning pathways, enhance employee self-directed development, and scale training across the enterprise.

  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training globally, adapting content and delivery methods for diverse audiences.

  • Manage external vendors providing workshops, coaching, and specialized training.

  • Develop training scorecards and metrics to measure learning outcomes and ROI, incorporating AI-driven analytics for deeper insight.

  • Stay current on learning technologies, trends, and best practices-including generative AI and adaptive learning platforms-to drive innovation.

  • Manage firm-wide L&D budget.

Talent Management (50%)

  • Lead company-wide initiatives in Performance Management, Succession Planning, Talent Reviews, Career Pathing, Competency Development, and Employee Engagement.

  • Partner with HR Operations, Technology, and leadership to design and implement Workday modules for performance, succession, and development planning (including reporting, user testing, training, communication, and change management).

  • Manage the full cycle of the Annual Engagement Survey process, from survey design and delivery through results analysis and action planning, including the use of AI-enabled sentiment analysis.

  • Develop and manage high-potential talent programs, mentoring, and career development initiatives, integrating AI tools where practical

  • Facilitate talent review sessions and succession planning with senior leaders, using data visualization and AI insights to inform decisions.

  • Use data and workforce analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; present insights and solutions to leadership.

  • Collaborate with leaders to embed company values, culture, and engagement strategies into performance.

  • Consult on organizational design, team effectiveness, and change management strategies, leveraging AI to model organizational scenarios and workforce planning.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of Learning & Development experience OR 5 years of Talent Management experience.

  • At least 3 years of facilitation experience, both virtual and live.

  • At least 3 years in delivering Talent or Learning programs either as a consultant or in-house.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • 7+ years of experience across Learning & Development, Talent Management, Organizational Development, and/or Change Management.

  • Background in designing and delivering enterprise-wide learning and talent solutions.

  • Experience with eLearning content development tools and LMS, with exposure to AI-enabled learning systems.

  • Skilled facilitator of virtual and in-person learning.

  • Strong analytical skills; able to use data (Excel, workforce analytics tools) to inform strategies and decisions.

  • Proven success implementing or delivering performance management, succession planning, and employee survey processes.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to influence senior stakeholders with clarity and impact.

  • Proficiency in MS Office, project management tools, and HR systems (Workday & Peakon preferred).

  • Curiosity about and comfort with emerging technologies, including AI, and the ability to apply them responsibly to HR practices.

  • A collaborative team player with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

  • Formal people management experience.

Compensation Annual Pay Range: $132,906 - $155,500 Annual Incentive Target: 15.00%
