Job Description:

The Principal Marketing Tech Consultant is an expert in the Marketing department on systems, data, processes, and technical solutions required to deliver solutions to market. They'll be the primary contact for new Tech solutions within Marketing. The Principal Marketing Tech Consultant is a detail-oriented thinker who is ready to drive the future of Southwest's Marketing Department.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary contact for new technical solutions within the Marketing and Digital departments
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the Adobe Marketing Cloud implementations, responsible for maximization of our investments by owning integrations, enhancements and proactively working to improve the quality of our implementations
  • Build and grow technical knowledge on all Marketing solutions and driving recommendations to improve efficiencies
  • Represent Marketing and Digital departments in RFP/RFIs for new vendors and will lead the process when it is a marketing-driven solution
  • Gather business requirements, proactively and reactively conduct vendor research and prepare pro/con recommendations of each possible solution
  • Develop educational material for leadership and act as a thought leader on all types of tools and solutions in the marketplace
  • Serve as the primary contact with Supply Chain Management on new vendors or contracts and drive project from evaluation to implementation
  • Work to create a knowledge base of vendors and solutions proactively by being the primary contact for vendor solicitations within Marketing and Digital
  • Support collaboration with other teams to assess technological needs for enhanced customer insight and personalization
  • Gather data across platforms, creatively exploring alternate methods and ensuring data integrity
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Expert knowledge of business management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology, including applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
  • Skilled in understanding and applying information to contribute to the organizations' strategic plan
  • Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Skilled in determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes
  • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong
  • Ability to come up with several ideas about a topic
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Innovator level experience, highest level of knowledge in:
    • Marketing, Digital and Technology
    • Marketing technologies
    • Spreadsheets, databases, and database reporting tools
    • Adobe Marketing Cloud solution implementations
    • HTML, CSS, or JavaScript

  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive market salary from $148,500 - $165,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
