Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Cheektowaga, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Completes activities related to installations, configuration, operations of systems hardware and software and related to corporate technology equipment.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in the sale of refurbished technology equipment.
  • Complete the disposition of all technology equipment to include Laptops, Desktops, Thin Clients, Workstations, Tablets, Apple iPhones, iPads, MiFi devices, Micr Readers, BIC Scanners, Journal Printers, Joggers and any peripheral equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting and resolution on routine to moderately complex issues using basic diagnostic tools.
  • Maintain and track repair inventory log for all devices and equipment.
  • Triage and process all Service Now orders and tickets to ensure business continuity for new equipment and break/fix replacement devices.
  • May participate and provide feedback on Service Now enhancement opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Participate in software testing as necessary.
  • Supports the discovery, transport and evaluation of unused equipment throughout the Bank.
  • Assists with initial assessment of quality and condition of equipment to estimate potential resale value.
  • Perform refurbishment of salvageable items for profitable sale to maximize return or benefit to the Bank.
  • Participates in the retail sale of equipment to employees and external parties.
  • Complete order processing, shipping and inventory tracking for customer orders.
  • Serves as a direct point of contact to clients and customers in the sale of refurbished technology equipment.
  • Maintain a strong aptitude and working knowledge of bank applications, systems development environments.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of vendor technologies and services used by the Bank.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client Bank brand.
  • Maintain the client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Refurbish laptops and desktops through a comprehensive process that includes physical cleaning, hardware inspection, and functional testing.
  • Tasks involve removing dust and debris, sanitizing surfaces, checking internal components for damage or wear, verifying system performance, and ensuring all devices meet quality standards for redeployment, resale, or donation.
  • This process may also include updating firmware, reinstalling operating systems, and replacing or upgrading components as needed to extend device lifespan and improve usability.
  • Ensure all technological equipment is properly configured in accordance with established organizational standards and operational guidelines.
  • This includes setting up hardware and software components, applying required system settings, installing approved applications, and verifying compliance with security protocols.
  • The process also involves validating network connectivity, user accessibility, and performance benchmarks to guarantee readiness for deployment and alignment with IT policies.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in installations, configuration, operations of systems hardware and software and related to corporate technology equipment

  • Ability to learn quickly in a rapid pace environment.
  • Able to meet with clients of varying levels to gather, document, and analyze system specifications and requirements, work closely with integrators, developers and testers in the fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in team environment.
  • Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Process-oriented.

Additional Information :

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • This position is very active and needs standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing.
  • The employee must frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities needed by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
