Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working Lead for the Wax Injection and sub-assembly areas.
  • Assist Wax Supervisor in executing injection schedules to ensure assembly demands are being met.
  • Assist department in maintaining compliance to PEI's, SOP's, and schedules in the department.
  • Inject all wax patterns, solubles, gates and sprues (light and heavy dies).
  • Leach solubles from wax pattern.
  • Keep wax injection presses filled with wax at all times.
  • Keep wax tanks filled at all times.
  • Make sure that injection procedures and S.O.P.s are followed at all times.
  • Keep department in a clean, orderly and safe working condition.
  • Be responsible for the quality of all patterns, solubles, gating and sprues that are being produced on his/her shift.
  • Keep all dies used on his/her shift clean after completing each job and stored in proper area.
  • Communicate any employee ideas or problems to the Supervisor.
  • Inject all new dies, assist in creating all start up procedures, and responsible for all special lots going through the department.
  • Train and assist all employees in the department.
  • Assist the Supervisor by working with the employees to improve productivity, by setting department goals and reviewing goal sheets.
  • Record all work performed.
  • Keep the department orderly and maintain safe working conditions.
  • Direct/supervise the shift in assistance to the shift Supervisor.
  • Aid Engineering in executing cost reduction plans in the area.
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Supervisor or Area Manager.
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 1 + years of Injection experience, wax injection strongly preferred.
  • Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Able to train others.
  • Proven track record working in a team environment
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task.
