Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineering Telecom Co-Op (May-Dec 2026) in one of the posting locations below. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers on energy and utility projects.

Posting Locations for this role: Frisco, TX; Lisle, IL; St. Louis, MO

*Housing, relocation, and transportation assistance not available for this position.

What You'll Do:


  • Conceptual through final design and record drawings of utility lines and related facilities
  • Field visits to collect data and evaluate existing, pre-design conditions
  • Construction documents and administration
  • Cost estimating
  • Material specifications
  • General project and office support


What You'll Need:


  • Pursuing a BS in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum
  • Willing to work full-time during the summer and fall semester from May - December 2026
  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Must be willing to travel and have a valid driver's license
  • MicroStation or AutoCAD experience or exposure is preferred, but not required
