Lead - IT Development

JOB DUTIES: Responsible for professional JavaScript development. Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds. Working through the entire stack from user interface through systems levels. Understanding accessibility and security compliance. Consuming web services (REST) and processing data (JSON). Utilizing SQLite, NoSQL, Redis or other databases. Building API services using NodeJS Express and related frameworks. Appling understanding of NodeJS asynchronous runtime. Applying understanding of JS concepts on callbacks and closures. Debugging issues related to memory leaks. Building highly scalable and high throughput services with sub second response times. Working in a collaborative team environment. Understanding and analyzing issues across multiple vendors and interfaces. Meeting project objectives, providing systems that operate in a cost-effective manner. Responding to problems in a timely, effective manner. Working with key members of the management team to define and drive technical strategy. Staying abreast of advancements in eCommerce technologies in order to determine relevance and possible impact to existing system. Utilizing technical functional skills related to building NodeJS REST APIs, Camunda workflow, and SQL queries. Applying knowledge of MongoDB/NoSQL as well as additional programming skills either Java 1.8 or .Net. Requires a Bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or an IT related field. Higher degree will be accepted but not a minimum requirement plus 7 years' experience as an IT Development Lead or in a related role/capacity. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Experience must include:7 years in professional experience in JavaScript development, in Rest (REST) principles and understanding the nature of asynchronous programming including its characteristics and workarounds, working through the entire stack from user interface through systems levels, utilizing accessibility and security compliance, utilizing consuming web services (REST) and processing data (JSON), with databases: SQL Server, MongoDB, SQLite, NoSQL, and Redis, building API services using NodeJS Express and related frameworks (Express, MongoDB and JavaScript), utilizing NodeJS asynchronous runtime, utilizing JS concepts on callbacks and closures, debugging issues related to memory leaks, building highly scalable and high throughput services with sub second response times, building NodeJS REST APIs, utilizing SQL queries, utilizing programming skills (Java 1.8 or .Net) and 5 years' experience in Utilizing Camunda workflow and utilizing MongoDB/NoSQL.
