Risk Manager (Insurance)
Your main responsibilities
- Claims Management- Responsible for managerial oversight of Broadspire on product liability and Automobile, and supervision of Works Compensation on Compensation claims (All lines are coordinated with legal attorney's as needed). Ensure positive closure ratios, authorize cost-effective settlements, manage claims data accuracy, and conduct audits and training.
- Insurance Program Management- Responsible as the enterprise coordinator of all insurance programs, including insurer, administrators and broker management. Tasks include policy placement, premium negotiations, and key relationship interface with all parties, including local and Group Risk Management, legal teams and brokers.
- Surety Program Management- Managing all aspects of Surety bid, performance and other bond activity flow with the field offices.
- Actuarial Study- As the direct liaison between actuary and local legal and finance teams, transfer and interpret claims data and actuarial details.
- General Insurance Management- directly oversees:
- Statistical reporting analysis on claims activity.
- Budget preparation and reporting
- Liability reduction efforts and committees
- Insurance document management (Certificate of Insurance) and renewal address additional ensured endorsements.
- Approval of non-standard insurance T&Cs in coordination with the legal department
- Contract Review - Assess and agree in customer insurance requirements, address risk transfer and serve as the primary point of contact for insurance related contract issues.
- Product Liability Oversight- As the Assistant Chair of the Product Liability Oversight Committee (PLOC), you will be responsible for preparing and presenting comprehensive claims and financial summaries, including impact assessments. You will detail potential corrective actions as risk mitigation or opportunity measures and lead the implementation of these actions, as assigned, to ensure effective corrective measures are in place.
What you bring
- Bachelors Degree - Law, Finance or Statistics a plus
- Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) preferred
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred
- Analytical, organizational and communication skills; detail-oriented; organizational skills; proficiency in insurance programs, claims management, business management, legal; use of financial analysis, and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- RMIS experience preferred.
