The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining HR and payroll compliance across the organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring payroll integrity, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence at the federal, state, and local level, through the development of standard operating procedures, vendor oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities
- Technology Strategy & Enterprise Alignment
- Develop and execute an enterprise IT strategy that supports business objectives, scalability, and risk mitigation across all operating companies
- Lead annual technology planning and long-term roadmap development in collaboration with business and functional leadership
- Align IT investments with enterprise priorities and manage the technology capital and operating budget
- Modernize legacy platforms and support system integrations during acquisitions and enterprise transformation initiatives
- Infrastructure & Service Delivery
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure, including network architecture, cloud environments (e.g., Azure, AWS), and server/storage solutions
- Ensure uptime, performance, and disaster recovery capabilities meet business continuity requirements
- Lead lifecycle planning for hardware, software, and system upgrades across the enterprise
- Guide the design and execution of scalable IT support services using ITSM best practices (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshservice)
- Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Direct the enterprise cybersecurity strategy, ensuring proactive defense, detection, and incident response capabilities
- Maintain cybersecurity frameworks, policies, and compliance practices (e.g., SOC 2, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Oversee data governance, privacy compliance (e.g., CCPA, GDPR), and risk assessments for internal systems and vendor technologies
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal audit findings, and external security requirements
- AI Strategy & Innovation Enablement
- Develop and lead the enterprise AI strategy in alignment with business goals
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Operations to identify and prioritize AI and automation pilots with measurable ROI
- Ensure AI adoption is supported by robust data architecture, security protocols, and change management strategies
- Establish governance for responsible and ethical AI usage, including training, user enablement, and performance evaluation
- Leadership & Organizational Development
- Lead and develop a high-performing team of functional IT leaders, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Promote adoption of shared services and standardization across business units while meeting unique business needs

Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required
- MBA or Master's in Technology Management or related discipline preferred
- Minimum 15 years of progressive IT leadership experience, including 7+ years in an enterprise or executive-level role
- Prior experience in logistics, supply chain, food manufacturing, transportation, or warehousing industries preferred
- Occasional travel (~20%) to business unit sites, vendor locations, or leadership meetings.
- Servant leadership style with a track record of team development and organizational influence
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to translate technical complexity into business impact for executive and cross-functional audiences
- Collaborative decision-maker with experience leading across matrixed environments

- Expertise in enterprise infrastructure, including cloud strategy (Azure/AWS), network architecture, and data center management
- Proven experience managing enterprise cybersecurity, including incident response, endpoint protection, threat management, and regulatory compliance (e.g., SOC 2, NIST)
- Strong understanding of ITSM principles, service delivery frameworks, and end-user support design
- Experience with ERP/HCM/ATS/LMS integrations and cloud-based system transformations
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and scaling AI, automation, and low-code/no-code technologies
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software deployment models
- Strong vendor management, budgeting, and contract negotiation experience
