Job Summary

The Assembler performs a variety of assembly tasks requiring knowledge of mechanical and electrical assembly techniques, tools, materials, and equipment. Working under general supervision, this role involves interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions to assemble and wire complex products and systems. The position requires attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and the ability to work collaboratively within a production environment.

Job Responsibilities




  • Perform both basic and complex assembly, wiring, and product erection following established procedures and engineering drawings



  • Read and interpret engineering configurations, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation



  • Devise and implement nonstandard assembly procedures when necessary



  • Coordinate work with other teams to ensure timely completion of production goals



  • Inspect work to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards



  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company policies and quality procedures



  • May assign and verify the work of lower-level personnel as directed



  • May work nonstandard schedules and/or off-site as required by project needs



  • Perform other duties as assigned by management




Job Requirements




  • High school diploma or equivalent required



  • 2-5 years of related assembly experience required



  • Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and wiring schematics



  • Prior experience using torque tools and working in a manufacturing or factory setting



  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions



  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team



  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement




Work Schedule




  • Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.




Work Location




  • Mechanicsville, VA (100% on-site)

  • Duration: 12-month assignment with potential for extension or permanent hire based on performance and business needs



  • No travel required



  • Interview process: On-site interview with factory tour
