General Experience: Must possess in-depth knowledge of Federal Contracting and
FAR. Hands-on experience that demonstrates expertise in contracting and procurement. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and written and oral communications skills are required. Experience in establishing and implementing complex U.S. Government acquisition programs and policies Provides guidance to junior contractor staff.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Contracting and procurement, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience (14 years of directly related experience will substitute for education), and supervisory experience.
- Have held contracting warrant authority, or equivalent experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal Contracting such as FAR and other regulations.
- Hands-on experience that demonstrates subject matter expertise in one or more functional areas
- Experience in establishing and implementing complex U.S. Government acquisition programs and policies.
- Other professional training and certifications.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Functional Responsibilities:
Provides support to senior staff under the scope of work for specific consulting projects through quality review, logistical, administrative, and document management services. Assists in contract procedural aspects, expediting the
work of the office or peer review panel. Proposes and implements process
improvements. Performs quality checks of project database, ensuring that data is
complete and accurate. Ensures that all task assignments are completed as directed, on time, and within budget. Maintains necessary records and files, and establishes,
maintains, and reorganizes electronic and physical filing systems. Assigns projects and manages junior staff.
Primary Job Duties:
- Coordinate problem reporting, informational queries and provide end-user guidance.
- Conduct research, prepare reports, and analyze/document findings.
- Conduct reviews of solicitations, contracts, and procurement files/logs.
- Review and analyze disputes, claims and other issues in order to provide guidance to DEA Contracting Officer(s) in resolving these services, and recommend corrective actions.
- Review documents and provide feedback as necessary.
Minimum Education/Certification/Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Contracting and procurement, a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of formal education and experience (14 years of directly related experience will substitute for education), and supervisory experience field.
- FAC-C or DAWIA Certification in Contracting strongly preferred.
