Purpose of Position Assembles electronic components, wire wrap cards, assemble modules, hydraulic pumps, subassemblies, equipment boards, harnesses, panels, power supplies and cables. Tasks and Responsibilities Applies fundamental principles and concepts. Performs the more routine aspects and progresses to more varied and complex activities with development of additional knowledge and experience in the subject matter. Ability to perform basic electrical testing and identify obvious defects. Visually inspect internal and external components Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise assembly work. Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment. Comfortable working with small components and wiring. Pull, measure and cut cable to length on cable and harness Work effectively with all employees and be a team player Follow procedures and complete tasks with accuracy and attention to detail Perform on the job training as needed Personally observe safety and security procedures and proper use of equipment and material. Minimum Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum Experience + three years related experience and/or training Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Thorough knowledge and use of all applicable electronic assembly hand tools. Automatic and manual, Crimpers, Luggers, Wire strippers Physical Demands and Work Environment The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently left and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
