Position Description: The SCADA Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operation and optimization of SCADA and ADMS systems for CLPE clients. Position will include conceptual design of systems, preparing performance specifications, executing detailed design and integration, and ongoing maintenance of the systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Will configure, program, and deploy SCADA hardware and software components, including Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and communication protocols.
- Ensure SCADA systems adhere to industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
- Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect SCADA systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
- Diagnose and resolve SCADA system malfunctions and software bugs. Perform routine maintenance, software updates, and system backups.
- Analyze real-time and historical data to identify trends, and potential issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SCADA system configurations, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Provide lifecycle engineering for the systems from concept, performance specifications, implementation/integration
- Work collaboratively with other engineering team members to enhance their understanding of SCADA systems and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Gain and maintain intermediate knowledge of power system protection and relaying schemes for electrical distribution system.
- May act as main point of contact for projects and facilitating design/review process.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support to help them grow in their professional careers
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills | Knowledge | Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field from an accredited degree program required.
- Minimum of eight (8+) years of work experience as a SCADA/Automation/ADMS Engineer or in a similar role to include two (2) years with substation/power system distribution SCADA systems.
- Proficiency with SCADA software platforms (e.g., Siemens WinCC, Wonderware, Survalent, SEL, OSI, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, DNP3).
- Familiarity with PLC/RTU programming and configuration.
- Understanding of network design and cybersecurity principles for SCADA systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. (preferred)
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards is a plus. (preferred)

Compensation | Benefits:
- CLP offers an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
- Salary range: $130,000-$155,000 based on experience plus eligible for participation in Short Term Incentive Plan.
