  Design start-to-launch electromechanical parts and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, heat sinks, as well as PCBA, rigid-flex PCBA and FPC MCO'sMechanical integration analysis including thermal, design for assembly, design for test and stack-upClosely work cross-functionally with other mechanical, electrical, software, and firmware engineers to generate architectural tradeoffs and generate elegant designsHave engineering responsibility across all stages of product development, collaborating with suppliers and internal Tesla teams, overseeing prototyping, and managing RC, Beta, and Pilot buildsWhat You'll Bring
 
  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience2+ years of relevant experienceKnowledge of GD&T, tolerance stacks, design for manufacturing/automation/test/reliability (DFM/DFA/DFT/DFR). Experience with DFMEA and PFMEABasic understanding of electrical design fundamentals, as well as familiarity with PCBAs and PCBA componentsStrong knowledge of materials, fabrication methods for low- and high-volumeAnalytical background for successful design (tolerance stack-ups, solid mechanics, thermal, cost and mass optimization)Passion for electro-mechanical product design and finding simpler solutions to meet requirementsAbility to present data/trade-offs to facilitate decision-makingExperience taking projects from concept to productionExperience with FFC's, FPC's, and rigid-flex technologies preferredCompensation and Benefits
