Job Details:
The main objective to this job is to Inspects, documents, and photographs anilox rolls to ensure compliance with company stated specifications. Works directly with the Laser department as a verification point for consistency of engraving quality. To be able to multitask within the policies and expectations of the company when/if necessary. To work with all those involved in your day to day and to always keep a professional attitude and appearance. Take ownership in all duties and policies related to this position.


Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:


  • Safely and correctly load/unload shipments from carrier's truck.
  • Safely and correctly box/un-box any crated rolls and sleeves.
  • Read blueprints, shipping notices, and other specifications and inspects products to determine size and dimensional characteristics of rolls and sleeves.
  • Capture and record the mechanical, technical aspects, and cosmetic features of product received.
  • Ensure that all information on all inspection reports are clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Enters all data accurately into computer system for incoming rolls and/or bases.
  • Attaches identification labels or stencils of customer name and roll number.
  • Operate forklift to move boxes/crates around shop.
  • Operate overhead cranes to lift/move anilox rolls and sleeves.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and functional and tools serviceable.
  • Maintains all tools and equipment in top working condition, particularly computers and measuring instruments.
  • Observe and follow all safety procedures while using appropriate safety equipment.
  • Perform required preventative maintenance.
  • Keeps work area clean, organized, and functional.
  • Determine that customer specifications have been precisely carried out on every roll.
  • Determine any flaws in workmanship or deviations from specifications and notify supervisor.
  • Ensure quality inspections are being done efficiently.
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and Standard Practice Instructions.
  • Prioritize Rolls by Due Dates
  • Must clock rolls in/out of computer system.
  • Follow all Company Policies
  • Other Functions including Quality Photo, Evaluations, Roll Scope, etc.
  • Other duties, when necessary, as specified by management.
  • Ability to work overtime as required by the company.
  • Total accountability (all aspects of the position).
