Job Description:

The Cardiac Stress Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, implementing and evaluating direct and indirect care of patients in the cardiovascular imaging laboratory. The stress nurse is also responsible for continuous preliminary interpretation of electrocardiograms and continual medical monitoring of patient's health status throughout the stress tests and other cardiovascular testing that requires an RN to be present. Assisting the physician and monitoring the patient during a TEE is also required.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

Current and Active Kentucky RN License required.

Medical Surgical nursing experience in cardiology preferred.

Must maintain an active BCLS card through the American Heart Association.

Must maintain an active ACLS card through the American Heart Association.
