Shifts Available and Hours: Night shift 6PM-6AM
Job Summary:

The Extrusion lead is responsible for ensuring that production personnel perform their duties safely and in compliance with company policies. This role involves managing and motivating a team to maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization. This position reports to the PackingManager.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, feeler gauges, and protractors
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in a packing/warehouse/manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and basic computer navigation.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a small team.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs as needed.
  • Familiarity with operating and database systems such as Oracle and SCS.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Complete monthly safety training.
  • Complete touch audits on new team members.
  • Complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and perform random audits to ensure compliance.
  • Cultivate and drive a good culture of good housekeeping, organization, and cleanliness through leading by example, positive motivation, and efficient time management.
  • Verify product dimensions, finish, and quality in relation to customer specifications, tolerances, and internal expectations.
  • Understand and manage department workflow, including lot tickets, press schedules, tooling, log inventory levels, and material handling processes at the saw and through the age oven.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions by coordinating team readiness and communication.
