In this role, you will report to the manager of site services and will work closely with the Avantor's Lab and Production Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.
Hourly Rate: $22 - $22.50 Shift: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm

What we're looking for
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Experience: 1+ years of warehouse, driving, or inventory management experience
- Collaboration Tool: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Must be able to lift to 50lbs
- Standard class C license required with a clean driving record and skill in the safe operation of different types oftrucks or vans.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude
- High regard for safety, quality, and site/customer protocols, policies, and procedures
- Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently
- Must be able to safely lift 50lbs
How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor's Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
- Carrying out basic delivery tasks at a customer site. Receive inbound shipments from UPS, FedEx, and other common carriers. Deliver packages on customer campus
- Unloads or assists in unloading packages/materials as required.
- Verifies count and condition of goods loaded and unloaded.
- Place all incoming and outgoing materials in appropriate staging and storage locations.
- Preserve the quality and integrity of materials while loading and unloading activities occur.
- Properly secures loads andensures loads are within weight limits.
- Transports and delivers goods in accordance with the schedule as determined by the customer.
- Ensures good customer relations by consistently delivering orders on time and acting in aprofessional manner.
- Makes reports of overages,shortages and breakage/damage as needed.
- Operates the delivery truck in a safe manner.
- Reports any vehicle problems and defects to management.
- Complies with all Department of Transportation (DOT) and other standards and regulations.
- Maintains a good driving record.
- Ensure Receiving/Warehouse areas are safe, clean, and presentable at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
