Job Summary:

Manages and implements an integrated program of services, resources and communications to empower EWMBA and EMBA students in making decisions associated with their career goals and objectives. Leads the creation and implementation of state-of-the-art, cutting edge programs designed to encourage students to proactively manage their career experiences. Content and curriculum creation focuses on self-assessment, research, internal career management/promotion, external job search strategies, reflection, and strategic decision making. Ensures compliance with all associated policies, rules and regulations.

Please note: Travel (30%) and working evenings and weekends.

Specific Responsibilities:

Administration

  • Strategic partner in the design of CMC programming for Evening and Weekend (EWMBA) and Executive MBA students.
  • Champions the design, development and implementation of the strategic direction through state-of-the-art, cutting-edge programs designed to assist EWMBA and Executive MBA students to manage their career experiences.
  • Persuasively delivers new initiatives to Senior Administration written and verbally based on data-driven decisions
  • Direct day-to-day supervisory responsibility of 2 temporary staff.
  • Creates and manages various processes and practices ensuring the seamless flow of work and services.
  • Develops departmental strategic plans and operationalizes goals & objectives for the organization's key objectives; ensures that resources are created or obtained.
  • Manages customer service; creates associated practices & procedures & metrics to measure success.
  • Partners with peer institutions to share best practices, cutting-edge delivery of services and resources.
  • Researches state-of-the-art enhancements, market/economic conditions and implements changes that improve resources and services.

Technology

  • Manages and implements technology to enhance the EWMBA and Executive MBA student CMC experience ensuring that resources and services are delivered using best practices.
  • Uses available technology to enhance student experience. Ensures necessary infrastructure services are obtained and implemented.
  • Aligns internal CMC content with stakeholder content for marketing, Canvas, etc.
  • Leverages technology to communicate effectively with students including newsletters, email Canvas LMS and student facing Slack.

Budget

  • Partners closely with the Director of Working Professionals to manage the travel and non-personnel expenditures for both the EW and EMBA teams.
  • Develops and implements ideas for cost-sharing and/or cost-effect use of resources for student-facing programs and services.

Relationships

  • Partners with internal/external departments, faculty, alumni, student clubs, and student leaders for engagement that will result in outstanding student experience for EWMBA and Executive MBA students.
  • Closely partners with the EWMBA and Executive MBA Student Experience teams to design new programming for those Kellogg students
  • Works closely with the Operations and FTMBA teams to benchmark and instill best practices across all groups.
  • Develops & executes strategies to involve internal stakeholders to create efficient and effective collaborations that reduce redundancies and operational inefficiencies.
  • Identifies opportunities and develops strategies for supporting student coaching by connecting it to and promoting appropriate career resources offered across Kellogg.
  • Partners with CMC WP Contract Coaching Teams for both EWMBA and Exec MBA to ensure alignment, collaboration and operational excellence.

Marketing/Public Relations

  • Supports alignment with EWMBA and Executive MBA Admissions Team's efforts to ensuring that resources and services are effectively promoted to current and prospective EWMBA and Executive MBA students.
  • Supports the WP Team's partnership IMC to manage marketing/advertising efforts for target audiences.
  • Supports branding and messaging used by the CMC is in alignment with Kellogg standards.

Programs/Events

  • Develops a comprehensive set of CMC programs for EWMBA and Executive MBA students such as speaker series, workshops, conferences, trainings, cultural events etc. in collaboration with internal & external resources.
  • Develops proposals, recruits co-presenters and delivers co-curricular offerings, live and virtually, for both EWMBA and Executive MBA students at Chicago, Evanston and Miami campuses.
  • Manages the ongoing development and refinement of the program's curriculum/topic in consultation with subject matter experts.
  • Continually assesses and innovates programs to achieve goals by soliciting, synthesizing and applying changes from stakeholder feedback.
  • Develops strategy to increase program value, resources and participants.
  • Utilizes data to inform program development and allocate resources appropriately.
  • Drive the programs, service and content that prepares EWMBA students for recruiting via OCR or Just-In-Time.
  • Collaborate closely with WP and FT ER Team members to identify student interests, hiring trends and employer best practices to prepare EWMBA and Exec MBA student to achieve their career goals.

Evaluation

  • Manages development & implementation of evaluation processes, quantitative & qualitative measurements that ensure that program and technology benchmarks are successfully attained and communicated in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Monitors, measures and propose strategies for improving engagement on CMC student-facing feedback and survey data.
  • Collaborate with other CMC Teams to develop meaningful outcome measurements and methods of program evaluation that will lead to enhancement.

Supervises

  • Supervises 1-2 temporary staff roles.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 5 years' career counseling/advising in higher education or 5 years' of industry experience; or other relevant experience required

Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.)

  • Strong strategic and executional abilities
  • Ability to counsel/advise students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of a Master's Degree in related field (e.g. counseling, psychology, education)
  • 5 - 8 years of related higher education experience at top-tier institutions
  • 5 years' career/student support experience in higher education.
  • Ability to travel (30%) and work evenings and weekends

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and oral), presentation, analytical, organizational and project management skills.
  • Passion for team-based work with clear dedication to fostering positive, collegial relationships.

  • Professional with demonstrated ability/experience in presenting to senior-level administrators.

Target hiring range for this position will be $95,000 - $100,000 per year. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
