Senior LCS Waterfront Engineer

Requires a Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or a related specialized area/field, or equivalent (4 years job-related experience). Requires an additional 2+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As a systems engineer for the Littoral Combat Ship, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for completing AIT installations onboard US Navy ships along with supporting sustainment activities onboard US Navy ships.

Anticipate travel could be up to 50% at times based on location of the US Navy Ships.

Showing initiative and exercising judgement, you'll design, develop, analyze, troubleshoot and provide technical skills during research and/or product development, analyze effects of projects upon various areas such as Engineering, Facilities, and the labor pool to determine the most practical and cost-efficient methods to obtain the required resources and design systems, software and equipment layout. Participating on the engineering work team, you'll develop, implement, install, test, modify and/or operate complex equipment and systems as well as support other team members concerning experiment design, materials, equipment setup/maintenance and related issues.

• A Bachelor's of Science or Technology degree, a related specialized area or field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree
• Demonstrate narrowly focused in-depth technical level of practical operational process knowledge in a specific engineering area
• Demonstrate technical competence in the setup, monitoring and documentation of experiments and/or lab equipment

• Previous experience onboard an Independence Variant Littoral Combat Ship as an Electronics Technician with atleast 3 years experience specializing in navigation troubleshooting and repair.

Target salary range: USD $80,024.00/Yr. - USD $86,589.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
