Job Title: Director, Business Development, Pacific Northwest Accounts

Department: Business Development, Drug & Manufacturing Services

Location: Remote - US Based (West Coast Strongly Preferred)

Reports To: Sr Director, Business Development - West Coast, Drug & Manufacturing Services

Role Overview:

TheDirector, West Coast Accountswill be a key contributor, driving growth and revenue across PCI's Drug & Manufacturing (D&M) portfolio, with a focus on the West Coast biotechnology and pharmaceutical ecosystem. This individual will lead efforts to identify, develop, and expand relationships with high-value clients in advanced modalities includingsterile fill-finish (oncology, biologics, peptides, oligonucleotides, mRNA),

This position plays a pivotal role and requires deep industry knowledge, high scientific fluency, and consultative selling capabilities aligned to client development cycles and product life stages.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy & Client Engagement

* Develop and execute aterritory growth strategy, integrating sales planning, pipeline development, and competitive intelligence to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets.

* Build strategic, consultative relationships with C-level stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within target biotech and pharmaceutical accounts.

* Actively manage a balanced portfolio ofnew business development (80%)and account management (20%).

* Lead complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations forMSAs, CDAs, pricing proposals, and service agreements, collaborating with legal, finance, and technical functions.

Operational Collaboration & Execution

* Work cross-functionally with PCI's globalproposal, technical, quality, and operational teamsto shape scientifically credible, client-aligned solutions.

* Ensure accurate demand forecasting to informS&OP processes, capacity planning, and financial projections.

* Drive internal alignment through CRM updates, forecasting inputs, and regular communication with executive and cross-functional teams.

Team Leadership & Development

*

* Provide strategic feedback and insights tomarketing, product management, and service development teamsto enhance PCI's market responsiveness and brand presence.

  • Work closely with cross segment teams to drive end to end service opportunities through attending tradeshows, hosting local events, joint lunch and learns and building a targeted plan to cross promote.

Market Development

* Identify emerging client needs inearly-phase development, novel modalities, and in-home/integrated care models.

* Partner with marketing to developregionally tailored campaigns, thought leadership content, and participation in key industry events.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Minimum Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree inLife Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related discipline. Advanced degree preferred.

* 10+ years of progressive sales or business development experience in theCDMO or pharmaceutical services industry.

* Proven track record ofclosing complex, multi-million-dollar programsand long-cycle sales.

* In-depth knowledge of drug development and manufacturing processes, particularly for sterile products.

* Scientific fluency and credibility when engaging with technical and executive stakeholders.

* Ability to travel frequently (up to 40-50%) to client sites, PCI facilities, and industry events.

Skills & Attributes:

* Highly strategic,analytically driven, and results-focused.

* Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.

* CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce) and experience withforecasting tools and sales analytics.

* Deep understanding ofpharma/biotech market dynamics, commercialization models, and client decision-making processes.

* Comfortable operating in afast-paced, matrixed, global environment.

Additional Details:

* Location: Remote - Strong preference for candidates based inCalifornia or Pacific Time Zone.

* Reports to: Sr Director of Business Development, West Coast

* Travel: Approximately 2-3 trips/month to West Coast accounts, PCI sites, or tradeshows
