* Temporary staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker's Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker - i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. Schedule varies by day, however, candidate should expect to work up to 5 hours per day Monday through Friday
Pay Rate $25/hour
Minimum Experience/Education
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering with minimum of one year experience in laboratory practice or research.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

  • Adept in handling electrical equipment such as power supplies, signal generators, oscilloscopes, 3d printers, and other ECE teaching lab equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance of electrical equipment.
  • Experience with instructional support roles in a laboratory environment.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and management of ECE's undergraduate teaching laboratories
  • Laboratory set up and support for laboratory courses.
  • Provide technical support to students and faculty on equipment and laboratory usage.
