Position: Senior Financial Reporter

Department: Finance

Reporting to: Controller

Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite


Overview:

Do you love turning numbers into clear, reliable insights? We're looking for a Senior Financial Reporter to bring expertise and precision to our financial statements and reporting packages. In this role, you'll be a key player in our monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accuracy, supporting audits, and keeping us compliant with U.S. GAAP and other regulations. You'll collaborate across departments, tackle complex accounting challenges, and help tell the story behind the numbers. If you're detail-oriented, technically skilled, and thrive in both independent and team settings, we'd love to have you on board.


What you'll do:


  • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
  • Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and consolidation.
  • Develop and maintain financial reporting templates and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Assist in preparing disclosures for financial statements and other external reports
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors to support audits and reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes.
  • Coordinate with Internal and external stakeholders to gather information and reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders


Experience you'll bring:


  • Bachelor of Accounting
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
  • Ability to interact with all personality types and with all levels of staff
  • Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Exceptional problem determination skills with a high attention to detail
