Senior Vice President, Life Brokerage (Highland Capital Brokerage)

Location(s): All Locations/ Remote

Role Type: Full time

Salary: $200,000 - $225,000 per year + Sales Incentive Compensation

Summary:

The Senior VP, Life Brokerage is an experienced, motivating, results-driven sales manager with a deep understanding of the life insurance sales process, and managing both salespeople and sales managers. Two key elements in this role are providing oversight of all life brokerage and helping to run our premier producer group. There will be additional related initiatives that are connected to growing life brokerage sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and manage the life brokerage sales team to achieve goals production and revenue goals across multiple markets
  • Oversight of life brokerage activities (strategy, staffing model, sales training, activity requirements, job performance and compensation)
  • Involvement and leadership in business development activities related to life brokerage
  • Motivate, develop and manage Life Brokerage salespeople and sales leaders to pre-defined goals in various markets and measured growth in revenue and production
  • Promote a culture of training, to include partnership with sales development team to hone their advanced planning and selling skills, as well as selling techniques and sales strategies
  • Monitor and control expenses for the team and by individual
  • Promote Sales Initiatives and help lead change
  • Monitor and manage compensation agreements tying them to activity metrics
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring strategies to ensure optimal coverage of key distribution channels (e.g., RIAs, IBDs), and address coverage gaps as needed
  • Other duties as assigned in generating revenue

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree Required (or relevant work experience)
  • Life & Health Insurance License
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63

Basic Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, with a strong background in brokerage distribution
  • Proven success in a sales leadership or management role
  • Experience leading and coaching sales professionals
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
  • Strategic thinker with solid decision-making capabilities
  • Performance management and coaching experience
  • Familiarity with CRM/Sales Force software
  • Goal-oriented with a track record of driving results
  • Adaptable and able to lead through change
  • Excellent planning, strategising, and relationship management skills
