Your Opportunity as a Supply Chain Intern
As an intern within ourSupply Chainorganization responsibilities will vary based on your position. You will have the opportunity to assistinone of the following areas:Corporate Transportation, Corporate Warehousing, Customer Logistics, Commodities and Procurement, Supply Planning,Supply Chain Analytics, and Customer Supply Chain Initiatives.
Location: Bentonville, AR
Work Arrangements: Hybrid - onsite a minimum of 9 days a month primarily during core weeks as determined by the Company; maybe more as business need requires
In this role you will:
- Work cross-functionally throughout the supply chain with both internal and external partners, while collaborating closely with Sales and Marketing on business initiatives.
- Work directly with customers to understand needs and provide supply chain solutions that support service and growth.
- Manage and contribute to project-based assignments, applying analytical and problem-solving skills to deliver results.
- Utilize data analytics and Key Performance Indicators to drive decision making for daily tasks and projects.
- Identify cost savings and opportunities that drive continuous improvement benefiting Smucker and the customer through data analysis.
- Implement process enhancements and monitor performance metrics while maintaining a focus on cost and service to the business.
- Enhance supply chain knowledge through department showcases and shadowing opportunities
What we are looking for:
- ASophomore or Junior standing in school with requisite educational experience in Supply Chain,Logistics,oranotherrelevant field
- Awell-roundedskill setincluding computer and analytics experience, adaptability, creative problem solvingandeffective communication
- Beginner to Proficient skills in Excel
- Possess intellectual curiosity regarding the workplace and professional development
