Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for technical support and execution of custom data entry, analysis, reports, and business requirements surrounding Human Resources & Payroll system(s) data needs. The HRIS Specialist will support the goals of the HR department by maintaining the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) on behalf of the core functional areas that include HR, Benefits, Recruiting and Payroll.

Job Responsibilities:

    Oversees new hire and employee change data including employee terminations, compensation, title changes, location changes, etc.
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules
  • Creation of Business Intelligent Reports from HRIS systems
  • Assists with the administration of the timecard system which includes monitoring employee time entry and processing the data to hand off to payroll
  • Assists with evaluating HR business processes and recommends process improvements including workflow analysis
  • Coordinates and leads data clean-up efforts
  • Researches and recommends best practices in all areas of HRIS
  • Responsible for all PTO adjustments
  • Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users
  • Collaborates with HR leadership to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions
  • Manages permissions, access, personalization, and similar system operations and settings for HRIS users
  • Ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology
  • Performs other duties as required

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • HR experience, preferably UKG, Oracle, or any relevant HRIS experience
  • Ultimate Software BI reporting experience is required
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
  • Must have strong analytic and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential and privileged information
  • Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse tasks
  • Effective communication - both verbal and written
  • Excellent team player with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and all levels of management
  • Proven customer service skills

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
