Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States

The Manager AML/CFT leads a team of associates responsible for ensuring compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (CFT) regulations. This role involves overseeing daily operations, risk mitigation, regulatory reporting, and investigations, while also participating in broader compliance initiatives and fostering a strong compliance culture within the bank.


Responsibilities

  • AML/CFT Program Management & Oversight
    • Manages a team of associates investigating/reviewing higher risk clients and suspicious activity, ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Oversees implementation of necessary changes to business processes and systems according to regulations.
    • Leads the review and execution of enterprise-wide AML/CFT initiatives.
    • Implements strategies that improve internal controls and reduce risk.
  • Risk Mitigation and AML/CFT Advisory
    • Identifies AML/CFT risks associated with department processes.
    • Maintains an ongoing internal control program aligned with regulatory requirements.
    • Reviews policies, procedures, and systems; recommends risk-mitigating improvements.
    • Provides consultative guidance and direction to business lines on AML/CFT matters.
  • Personnel Management and Development
    • Establishes and monitors team expectations to achieve company and department goals.
    • Manages associate performance, training, and evaluation.
    • Provides professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Investigations, Due Diligence, and Reporting
    • Leads and guides investigations of suspicious financial activity.
    • Reviews client relationships involving multiple accounts and transaction types.
    • Ensures correct and compliant filing of SARs and CTRs.
    • Prepares reporting for risk management leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking or other related experience OR High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Audit, Banking or other related experience

License or Certification Type: CAMS preferred

Skill(s): Knowledge of internal controls design and performance, spreadsheets, and databases , Ability to interpret and analyze complex regulatory concepts , AML suspicious activity monitoring systems knowledge , Thorough understanding of Bank Operations, regulatory requirements, industry trends, and best practices , Ability to interpret complex regulations and devise logical solutions , Ability to influence, negotiate, and manage change

The base pay for this position is generally between $98,000 and $150,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
