The Associate Counsel is responsible for providing counsel to management and assisting in planning and directing all aspects of the organization's legal affairs and ensures maximum protection of the Company's legal rights. JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
JOB SCOPE: This individual works independently under minimal supervision and with considerable discretion to make decisions that affect the day-to-day operations within the Company. The incumbent applies comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures to complete job responsibilities. The incumbent acts as a resource for Associate Counsels, Paralegals, and other Law Department staff as well as other Company departments. Work requires basing decisions on sound logic and rationale; advancing problems or issues toward resolution when encountering ambiguity or uncertainty; choosing the best alternative based on consideration of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing, and available resources; making timely decisions on problems and issues requiring immediate attention; and making sound decisions on complex functional issues and problems. An incumbent may have direct subordinates but will generally provide work direction to others who do not directly report to this job. |
