Parts Counter & Warehouse Associate

Milton CAT is seeking a versatile and customer-focused individual to join our team in a dual role as a Parts Counter & Warehouse Associate. This position combines front-line customer service with hands-on warehouse operations. You'll assist customers with parts inquiries and orders while also supporting inventory management, shipping, and receiving in our distribution center.

Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour. This is a union position.

Customer Service & Parts Counter Duties:

• First Shift Monday-Friday, with occasional Saturday morning hours.
• Greet customers and answer phones using a formatted script
• Process orders, backorders, credits, and quotes
• Look up parts using computer systems for CAT and other brands
• Handle cash and credit payments and returns
• Resolve customer issues and concerns
• Maintain merchandise displays

Warehouse Duties:

• Pick, pack, wrap, and load products for delivery
• Receive merchandise and stock shelves
• Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)
• Assist with inventory procedures and physical counts
• Use WMS and RF scanners
• Make hydraulic hoses (cutting, fitting, crimping)
• Maintain safety and compliance with all policies

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Basic math skills
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work at heights up to 25 feet
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Forklift certification preferred
• Experience with WMS software a plus
• Basic mechanical ability and automotive experience a plus
