Position Summary

The Systems Integration/Test Engineer will provide Systems of Systems Operational Test (SOT) Director support. Testing support includes identifying, verifying, and providing recommendations for all C4I System in-services test events requiring integrated testing of shipboard configurations for assigned Naval platforms.

Responsibilities


  • Responsible for conducting research and developing integrated test plans that involve leveraging existing documentation, database information, and inputs from stakeholders including the program office.
  • Confirm test plans completely cover targeted systems by collaborating with NAVWAR Claimancy, TYCOM and the Navy Fleet.
  • Coordinate test plan development priorities with stakeholders.
  • Customize test plan to ensure all targeted C4I systems are tested in accordance with schedule before or during E2C, AI, New Construction and SOT events.
  • Review and incorporate lessons learned into test plans upon completion of SOT event.
  • Update test plans within assigned deadlines.
  • Compile inputs from SMEs, Program Offices, ISEAs and the fleet to update test plans.
  • Other job duties as assigned.


Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Education/Licensure/Credentials

Required:


  • Bachelor of Science degree from recognized University or should have at least 10 years' experience working with complex communications systems and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Must be able to travel 30%
  • This position requires an existing U.S. Government DoD granted security clearance/eligibility at the final Secret level. Individual must be able to maintain the required security clearance/eligibility for continued employment. U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Job Located at a U.S. Government Facility


Preferred:


  • CompTIA Security+ Certification


Experience

Required:


  • Qualified US Navy Electronics Technician (ET), Information Systems Technician (IT), or Operations Specialist (OS) with 6+ years' experience
  • Minimum 4+ years as civilian govt or DoD Contractor supporting C5I or C4I-SR System Engineering roles and responsibilities performing system validation, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
  • 4+ years' experience with Military Intelligence systems, IT/system administration experience, and network configuration background
  • 2+ years' experience working with and troubleshooting CANES, ADNS, and/or ISNS Navy network systems
  • Must have experience with test, analysis, and troubleshooting complex communications hardware problems for development and/or modification to C4I system hardware components.


Preferred:


  • Familiarity with Combat Systems, Ships Networking Systems, Tactical Data Links, and/or other like TDL C4I-SR systems desired.
