JOB MISSION:

The Security Systems Project Manager-Retail oversees the design, installation, service, and maintenance of security systems across 125+ U.S. retail stores, and consults with international partners on strategy and implementation.

Projects include:

  • New store construction, renovations, relocations

  • System conversions, upgrades, replacements

  • Service coordination and preventative maintenance scheduling

Responsibilities span design, planning, contract review, procurement, scheduling, system configuration, testing, and invoice management. Construction projects are executed alongside general contractors managed by the Retail Store Development team, with critical deadlines as top priority.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to internal and external partners

  • Manage stakeholder relationships, project milestones, and timelines

  • Prepare service tickets, RFPs, and scope agreements for approval

  • Ensure site-specific security plans and specifications are complete

  • Monitor construction schedules and resolve escalations

  • Provide updates during calls and meetings

  • Track project progress and report delays or risks

  • Submit weekly project updates to management

  • File closeout documents and approve payments

  • Address post-installation concerns with internal teams

  • Collaborate with vendors on system testing and acceptance

  • Troubleshoot installation challenges independently or with support

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education (High School Diploma or GED) and experience.

  • Experience: 1-3 years' experience in technology project management or relevant coursework.

  • Knowledge and Awareness: Understanding of IT project processes, language, and architecture. Able to review and comment on Contracts, RFIs, Change Orders, Submittals, and Construction Plans.

  • Technical Training: Preferred training or experience with physical IT network infrastructure. Experience in design, documentation, and integration of commercial security systems is a plus.

  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with strong decision-making capabilities. Ability to work independently and as a team.

  • Competencies: Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Availability: Be on-call to troubleshoot emergency security systems issues and manage response plan.

  • Travel: Valid driver's license and vehicle required for travel between facilities in New England. Some travel required to New Balance locations within the United States for project support.

Flexible Work Schedule

Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced "Work from Anywhere" (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
