Maintenance Mechanic - 2nd Shift
Location: York, PA
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
Pay: Starting at $25.38/hour (based on experience) + $1.50/hour shift differential

About the Role:
We are looking for a dependable and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations by maintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical and electrical background who enjoys hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot machinery and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
  • Install and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Perform welding, torch cutting, and fabrication tasks
  • Operate machine tools to fabricate or repair parts
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and safety inspections
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Maintain facility structures, fixtures, and tools
  • Operate forklifts and other maintenance-related equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, or general maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety procedures
  • Proficient in using measurement tools and diagnosing technical issues
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Basic PC knowledge preferred

Certifications & Licenses:

  • Forklift license (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
  • Certifications in electrical work, welding, or related fields are a plus

Work Environment:

  • Industrial setting with moderate noise levels
  • Exposure to mechanical and electrical systems and tools

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Regular use of hands and tools; occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, or crouching
  • Visual acuity for close work and focus adjustments
