Description
Our client is seeking a results-driven Warehouse Operations Controller to orchestrate daily warehouse workflow and inventory flow through automation and WMS tools. This is an individual-contributor, desk-based role that partners closely with warehouse supervisors to control workload across 4-5 areas, interface with AutoStore and SAP, and ensure accurate, efficient movement of goods.

Pay Rate: Up to $65k
What You'll Do
  • Operate as the "control center" for warehouse production: monitor dashboards, control workload distribution, and coordinate tasks across zones through the WMS.
  • Interface with AutoStore (bin-picking, inventory stacking) and SAP EWM/Advanced Warehouse Management to manage orders, inventory placement, and exceptions.
  • Translate real-time demand and capacity into system-driven work assignments; communicate assignments to supervisors and confirm execution.
  • Maintain precise inventory records; conduct cycle counts/stock audits and reconcile physical vs. system variances.
  • Generate and analyze performance and inventory reports (through SAP/WMS and Excel); surface trends, bottlenecks, and corrective actions.
  • Support the AutoStore + SAP EWM(AWM) rollout: collaborate with programmers, assist with configuration/UAT, validate data flows, and document SOPs ahead of go-live (targeted for Q3 next year).
  • Liaise with cross-functional partners (supervisors, transport, suppliers) to keep workflows smooth and compliant with safety standards.
  • Provide training and knowledge-sharing for new staff on system workflows and reporting as needed.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma required
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory control.
  • Knowledge of WMS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel required).
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and give direction to warehouse teams in a professional, organized manner.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • SAP EWM/Advanced WM; AutoStore exposure.
