DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will provide coverage for the main telephone attendant and the receptionist, as well as complete a variety of other clerical and office support assignments. This coverage involves answering and processing incoming calls, greeting and directing clients and visitors, scheduling meeting rooms, and notifying appropriate staff of deliveries to ensure we can provide a warm and helpful welcome to all office visitors and callers. Our team will rely on you to spell check, proofread, and otherwise ensure accuracy in clerical assignments such as typing and word processing, copying and faxing documents, and completing filing for the agency departments within our office. You will also help gather, process, and distribute interoffice and incoming email, faxes, mail, and work orders to appropriate staff, in addition to processing outgoing mail and assisting with other office tasks that are key for ensuring smooth workflow. With our team, you will provide critical coverage so that we can continue to create a safe environment for people - including children, families, caseworkers, and staff - to prevent further harm happening and allow children and their families to play an active role in the supportive services we provide. - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerk Typist 1 and educational development to the level of eighth grade; or
- Completion of a high school business curriculum which included at least one typing course; or
- Any combination of equivalent experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lycoming County. If no eligible candidates who live within Lycoming County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
