Garver is seeking a Project Engineer in Norman, Tulsa, or Greater Oklahoma City to join our established Oklahoma Water Team working on water, wastewater, and reuse facility and infrastructure projects The Project Engineer will assist the execution of projects consisting of design reports, studies, technical memoranda, detailed plans, specifications and other related deliverables. The Project Engineer must be capable of working closely with clients to ensure their expectations of services are exceeded.


The Project Engineer will also assist the Oklahoma Regional Team Leader in managing and mentoring internal staff, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring the delivery of quality products that adhere to Garver standardization. This Project Engineer will also be included in client meetings and at industry conferences on behalf of Garver and the Water Business Line.


The successful candidate for this role must also have the following capabilities:


  • Ability to work closely with clients to ensure quality deliverables are met efficiently
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients one-on-one, as a group or in a presentation setting
  • Ability to steer a team of junior project engineers and CAD Technicians to accomplish design, budget and project requirements
  • Desire to gain marketing and project management experience

Candidates must be proficient in the following skills:


  • Be technically competent with water or wastewater engineering and civil engineering
  • Manage scope, budget, and schedule for a team of project engineers, design engineers, and CAD Technicians in the development of water projects
  • Manage project budgets including the development of detailed project instructions, scope of work, level of effort, and associated man-hour estimates
  • Be responsible for time management and work product quality
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date project accounting on all assigned projects
  • Conduct written and oral project reporting for clients and Team Leader(s).
  • Prepare and deliver Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans
  • Conduct Construction engineering administration management for local projects


Requirements


  • Bachelor's Degree in civil, environmental, biosystems or other related engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 2 or more years of similar technical experience


Preferred


  • Passionate about client service and the water industry
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Strong work ethic and strong communication skills
  • Masters' Degree in civil, environmental, biosystems or other related engineering from an ABET accredited program
