Pay

Salaried grade 6
$67,500 - $76,200 / year, depending on experience and qualifications
Plus 8% shift premium for 3rd shift

Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance.

3rd Shift (Sunday - Thursday 10:30pm - 7:30am (other hours-Saturday nights as needed)

Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join our Tennessee Shipping team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

  • Manage the workforce in line with company mission and goals
  • Coordinate efforts to improve customer satisfaction through team efforts
  • Maintain Warehouse Management System through ownership philosophy
  • Provide strong leadership in the area of safety and sanitation
  • Manage process to maintain expected quality and performance goals
  • Seek productivity improvements through process and performance management
  • Coordinate inventory needs with production, scheduling and logistics group
  • Serve as liaison between Shipping and other departments to ensure support and resolve issues
  • Ensure processes provide uninterrupted supply of material to production while maintaining an accurate accounting of inventory
  • Facilitate the growth and development of employees' knowledge and expertise in the areas of safety, production, quality specifications, GMPs, MOS, teamwork, decision making and problem solving
  • Supporting and communicating McKee Foods Policies, Guiding Values and procedures when and where necessary
  • All related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 1 - 2 years post high school education, or proven outstanding ability
  • Demonstrated commitment to McKee Foods guiding values, goals and objectives
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in operational safety
  • Demonstrated skills in food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to manage electronic warehousing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Ability to organize, develop priorities and manage time effectively with minimum oversight
  • Ability to coordinate and follow through on projects
  • Demonstrate analytical problem solving, good decision making skills
  • General computer knowledge and skills, WMS & OPM familiarity
  • Demonstrates high degree of personal integrity and accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to commit the time needed to carry out duties effectively
  • Excellent overall work, safety and attendance record
  • Willingness to attend self-development courses in line with company objectives
  • Willing to work other hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years or more experience in warehousing and Inventory control
  • Understanding of quality control procedures and background in food industry
  • Supervisory experience
