Special Security Representative

The Opportunity:

Security threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In this ever-changing environment, how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you-an Special Security Representative who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.

As a Special Security Representative on our team, you'll use your experience to work with government SMEs to identify their risks, understand applicable policies, and develop mitigation plans. You'll review details from SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones.

You'll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their critical infrastructure. This is your opportunity to act as a security matter expert while broadening your skills in telecommunications.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience working in the DoD or intelligence community, specifically in SCI or SAP environment

  • Experience with supporting SCIF or SAP operations, including developing SOP, access control, visitor management, and secure facility requirements

  • Experience with creating and providing annual security refreshers and threat awareness training

  • Knowledge of the application of security regulations, includingDoDM 5200.01, DoDM 5105.21, DoDM 5205.07, IDC 7-4, or ICD 705

  • Knowledge of receipt, accountability, and destruction procedures of classified materials and overseeing secure transmission methods

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Ability to independently lead multiple security efforts simultaneously

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
