POSITION SPECIFICS

The laboratory of Dr. Jesse Lasky seeks an Assistant Research Professor to work as part of a research team focused on environmental adaptation in plants. The position will focus on research on climate adaptation genomics and predictions of plant adaptation under climate change. The successful applicant must have the ability to plan, execute, interpret, document, and troubleshoot multi-faceted independent research and to collaborate effectively with members of a research team. The successful candidate will excel in genomics analysis and evolutionary biology. Excellent organizational, presentation, scheduling, and verbal communication skills are required. Professional development through the acquisition of new skills will be expected.

Education and Experience:

A successful candidate should possess at least a doctoral degree or equivalent in an academic field related to the research, including evolutionary genetics and quantitative genomics.
