The Manager, Ad Sales Events & Engagement, reporting to the Vice President, Ad Sales Events & Engagement, will be focused on hospitality, client engagement, and working with our Ad Sales Executives. The Manager, Ad Sales Events and Engagement is responsible for managing & executing client and internal events across the Ad Sales portfolio. Events will range from intimate dinners, team-building activities, community engagement opportunities, to large-scale multi-day programs and offsites.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive entire project lifecycles for multiple events across the Ad Sales Portfolio, inclusive of scheduling and timeline management; budget management and financial oversight; technical development, logistics, and operations; vendor management; physical execution and reporting.

  • Responsible for all aspects of owned events from start to finish, including budget management

  • Coordinate all program facets leading up to an event and while onsite, including hotel accommodations, venues, activities, transportation, F&B, design, merchandise, etc.

  • Responsible for the accuracy of event budgets and reconciliation

  • Handle contracting processes for all assigned events

  • Interact directly with sales leads and their teams, determining their specific clients' needs to create best-in-class programs and experiences

  • Foster collaborative working relationships with sales teams across the FOX Ad Sales Portfolio

  • Provide support to senior members of the team on day-to-day projects as well as other events as assigned

  • Manage guest invitation and communication processes

  • Liaise with Ad Sales clients and other event attendees to coordinate travel arrangements, troubleshoot issues with event registration, answer questions, etc.

  • Cultivate relationships with finance and legal partners to ensure processing of vendor agreements, purchase orders, and payments

  • Set up new vendors in COUPA and submit invoices for wire/check payments

  • Keep all digital files & event folders accurate and up to date

  • Generate and research new event ideas and opportunities for the sales staff and advertising clients

  • Develop contacts and relationships with vendors, such as popular venues, hotels, florists, restaurants, etc. to secure the best possible rates and opportunities for the sales teams

  • Maintain working knowledge of current happenings in the industry as well as maintain up-to-date information on new hotels, restaurants, and event venues, etc.

  • Work with the in-house design team on creation, coordination, and production of event collateral material

  • Work closely with the Vice President to develop ideas for creative and unique merchandise ideas for each event

  • Proactively remains updated on current event trends for venues, restaurants, various vendors, etc.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree or related work experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of direct experience in event planning (inclusive of multi-day programs and large-scale offsites) from concept through completion, preferably with media-related experience

  • Experience creating events for senior executives and c-level audiences

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confident, reliable, flexible, detail-oriented, creative, organized, and mature team player with the ability to prioritize

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines

  • Design experience or strong interest in event design

  • Experience in design platforms such as Canva, Photoshop, Adobe, etc

  • Experience in Splash event/registration management platform

  • Must be proficient in PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel

  • Proactively remains updated on current event trends for venues, restaurants, various vendors, etc.

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends based on event schedule

  • Must be able/willing to travel

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $102,000.00-111,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
