Job Description (General Summary)

Intralox, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a global provider of conveyance solutions and services, has an opening for a Quality Engineer within the Digital Solutions (DS) team. The DS team is leading Intralox's implementation and evolution of our enterprise business applications and new digital solutions. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

The DS team is more than just an IT department - we are business domain experts, software developers, and operational support resources who use technology to bring more value to customers and Intralox.

This member of our Quality Assurance team will lead the testing and quality efforts for Microsoft Dynamics. In their capacity as Quality Engineer, this person will facilitate and assist in onboarding Tricentis Tosca by generating test plans suitable for automation, participating in trainings, working with contracted resources on implementation, and maintaining and enhancing test suites. The person in this role will enable Intralox's award-winning customer service by ensuring our representatives have easy access to accurate customer and account information.

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Position is 90% remote, with approximately 4 weeks per year required in the New Orleans, LA office.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing software functional and technical requirements in order to create and maintain test suites that comprehensively assure software quality and coverage of desired functionality.
    • Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases covering both functional and non-functional requirements for custom and out-of-the-box software and web-based applications.
    • Partner with business stakeholders to ensure test plans sufficiently cover use cases, including both happy paths and error paths.
    • Supplement or develop additional test cases to improve test coverage and maintain clear documentation for future use and automation.
    • Develop deep domain knowledge to identify edge cases and regression risks beyond published test plans
    • Implement, maintain, and enhance a Tricentis Tosca automated test suite, leveraging DEX for regularly scheduled test runs and troubleshooting issues uncovered by test runs.
  • Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities within development and QA teams.
    • Lead or participate in sprint grooming sessions.
    • Communicate issues discovered during testing to developers and product owners promptly.
    • Identify, document, and verify the resolution of defects, collaborating closely with developers, business users, and product owners.
    • Collaborating with business partners to coordinate UAT testing of large features.
    • Ensure regression testing coverage as artifacts move through the deployment pipeline.
  • Mentor other QA team members in testing techniques and processes, including automated approaches.
    • Develop QA standards and processes, including automated approaches, and track quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and automation ROI
    • Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to align on quality standards and project goals.
    • Conducting reviews of test cases, test plans, test completion reports and other relevant documentation.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • Tosca Automation Specialist 1 (AS1) and Automation Specialist 2 (AS2) certification.
  • 4+ of hands-on experience working with the Tosca framework, including creation of test case template, module, test design sheet, class, RTB, and library, and use parameters.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile development teams.
  • Proven experience with test case design, planning, and execution across various systems (web, cloud-based, CRM, ERP).
  • Proficiency in a programming language used for test automation (e.g., Selenium, Python).
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems, analyze root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle EBS).
Desired Qualifications
  • Well-versed in Azure DevOps and CI/CD implementation.
  • Experience integrating test automation with test management platforms (e.g. QTest, Azure DevOps).
