We are seeking a experienced, skilled individual to fill the role of Dining Manager to assist in oversight of the day-to-day operations within the kitchen and lead our culinary team, providing high-quality meals to the residents at one of Minnesota's leading nonprofit senior housing and service providers.

With 142 independent living, assisted living, memory care apartments and 64 long-term and transitional care suites, our Brooklyn Park campus is a vibrant, established community where it's easy to establish positive connections.

The Dining Manager is responsbile for:



  • Administering policies and programs of the Culinary Services department, function in areas of purchasing, menu planning, cost control/budgeting, sanitation practices, safety and scheduling. Supervises Lead Food Servers and Food Servers.


Full-time position will be schduled day shift hours. This position includes working every other weekend.

Qualifications:

Education: Degree in Culinary Arts, Dietetics, or related field preferred. ServSafe certification is required.

Experience: Minimum three - five years institutional nutrition services experience is required. Three - five years supervisory experience within the food service industry. State and County Survey experience. Experience within senior care industry preferred.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of nutrition services functions and related federal and state regulations.
  • Demonstrated abilities to participate in and collaborate with groups.
  • Ability to positively manage and communicate change and to model appropriate behaviors to staff and others.
  • High level of commitment to and success with effective customer service skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Working knowledge of personal computers and related software, including word processing, graphics, and spreadsheet applications

Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience.
