Pay Range: Actual pay may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for incentive compensation.

Job Summary

The Enterprise Architect Lead plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient integration solutions that connect diverse systems and applications throughout our organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise in integration technologies, a strong understanding of business processes, and the ability to lead and mentor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Develop a deep understanding of our ecosystem of systems across of the company and how they share data via integrations.
  • Develop and lead the architectural design of complex integration solutions that align with business objectives and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes, system requirements, and integration needs.
  • Evaluate emerging integration technologies, tools, and platforms to recommend the most suitable solutions for the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineers or software developers to select appropriate design solutions or ensure the compatibility of system components.
  • Communicate project information through presentations, technical reports, or white papers.
  • Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, portability, compatibility, or usability.
  • Direct the installation of operating systems, network or application software, or computer or network hardware.
  • Perform security analyses of developed or packaged software components.
  • Develop or approve project plans, schedules, or budgets.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to integration architecture standards and best practices.
  • Lead the implementation of integration solutions, ensuring they meet performance, security, and reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation for integration solutions, including design specifications, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Define and enforce governance policies and procedures for the development, deployment, and maintenance of integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to understand and document integration requirements.
  • Communicate with staff or clients to understand specific system requirements and explain technical concepts effectively.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of integration processes.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline integration workflows.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

Travel Requirements: Less than 25%

Education

Minimum/Preferred Education Description

Preferred 4 Year / Bachelors Degree In computer science or related field

Preferred Certification In integration technologies or architecture (e.g., TOGAF, Boomi, MuleSoft, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).

Experience

Minimum Years of Experience Description

7 As an Integration Architect or similar role

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing integration solutions in enterprise environments.
  • Proficient in integration technologies such as ESB, API management, message queues, and microservices architecture.
  • Strong programming skills, with expertise in languages such as Java, Python, or others commonly used in integration.
  • Proficient in middleware integration software and architecture such as Boomi or MuleSoft.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of integration specialists.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align integration solutions with business goals and future technology trends.
