Job Highlights

The Plant Controller is a strategic partner to plant leadership and corporate finance, driving operational efficiency, cost control, and informed decision-making. This role oversees plant-level financial management - including product costing, business analysis, working capital, and Capex control - using SAP and Business Warehouse to deliver accurate reporting, actionable insights, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management & Reporting - Lead plant-level reporting and analysis of production volumes, material usage, utilities, labor, and overhead; monitor budget/forecast variances; prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.

  • Costing & Analysis - Maintain accurate product costing and bills of materials; identify cost-saving opportunities to improve profitability.

  • Capex Control - Manage and report on maintenance, growth, and HSE projects in SAP PPM; track progress and ensure budget alignment.

  • Budgeting & Forecasting - Develop annual budgets and monthly forecasts for costs, production volumes, and Capex; ensure alignment with business goals.

  • Closing Activities - Determine and communicate accruals for expenses and Capex to support timely and accurate month- and year-end closings.

Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 3-5 years of relevant financial or plant controlling experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong proficiency in SAP and Business Warehouse systems.

  • Proven ability to analyze complex data and communicate insights clearly.

  • Excellent planning, organization, and negotiation skills.

  • Results-oriented with strong attention to detail.

  • Effective communicator with the ability to partner across functions and influence decision-making.

In accordance with Washington state requirements, the established pay range for this position is Min: $100,700 to Max: $167,900.
